We believe that children are born with a natural desire and ability to learn.
Broadacres Academy is an accredited ISASA independent school conveniently situated in the greater Fourways area of Johannesburg, Gauteng. We deliver a unique educational experience where we nurture life-long learners. We inspire children to explore and discover by encouraging natural curiosity to drive their learning.
Broadacres Farm Nursery school has been part of the community since 1982. It was bought by two educationalists, Dylan Cavanagh and André de Coning, with the aim of building on to the values of natural learning. In 2016, the school was rebranded as Broadacres Academy. The Farm Nursery School became the Preschool with 105 children and the Prep School was born with seven Grade 1s in a wooden classroom. We rebranded to Broadacres Academy, and what followed was the creation of an exceptional learning environment. From Preschool upwards, our education philosophy is designed around fostering each child’s innate exploratory nature, fulfilling their developmental needs, and encompassing how children learn, naturally. In 2017, a dynamic partnership with Skye Education was formed. Skye Education is our investment and development partner, and they are committed to building an exceptional education facility at Broadacres Academy.
The Syringa Road campus at Broadacres Academy is a dedicated Preschool and Junior Preparatory Foundation Phase (Gr 0 – 3) school. The environment is custom-designed to suit the needs of younger children.
The Senior Preparatory, Intermediate Phase (Grade 4 – 6) will move to their own campus, situated next to the High School in 2023. This will allow the Senior Preparatory children to have a unique learning environment for their phase, creating a specialised Intermediate phase learning community. While their campus is under construction, our Senior Prep schoolers are housed on the High School Campus in Chartwell.
The High School campus accommodates the Grades 7 – 9 learners in a Senior Phase learning environment and will phase in the Grade 10 – 12 learners in a FET learning environment between 2023 and 2025. This allows each community of learning to collaborate and learn within their phases, creating a unique educational space.
In our smaller class environment, our caring teachers are able to guide the children and facilitate collaborative learning in a dynamic and impactful way.
We foster a generation of children who live the wholesome values of kindness, integrity, empathy, courtesy, love for their environment and compassion.
Give your child the opportunity to be part of a learning community where curiosity, exploration and discovery flourish.
